I hear that Steve has sold the camp to Star, I am sorry, but there is no way I can feel in any way optimistic about this.

Starr is alright and all, but he is no Steve, thats for sure. Im gonna miss Steve, Nurse Eva Marie, and Rebecca.

Well, I heard that Becca will try to remain a part of camp, not sure though, I'll talk to her and get back to you all later.

Keep in mind that Starr and others do have rights to view the message board.
As emotions run high during a time of change such as this, one must remember that either one is onboard for a new mission/vision or one is ready to move on. Either way camp remains the camp that you know and love not because of who owns the camp, but because you invest in what camp strives toward.
Traditions and memories will always be, but new traditions and memories are on the horizon. Also keep in mind that camp IS NOT about you. It IS about the people around you and your relationship with them. It IS about the growth (spiritual, physical & emotional), the fun, the challenges, the disappointments and the life lessons learned during camp. Those are what matter. The friends/counselors from long ago or from last summer, that helped you to create the memories, are what matter.
Be willing to learn about the new mission and vision...then decide if camp has outgrown you, if you have outgrown camp, or if you are ready for new experiences.

You guys, Aingus is right. Arrowhead isn't about you or me, or Starr and Steve. It is about all of us. It’s about the things we learn, the experiences we create.

Although I truly respected and enjoyed working for, Steve I am still committed to Camp Arrowhead. It’s true that I will miss the guidance and enthusiasm of Steve. There is no doubt that he is an amazing man. But what is done is done. I can’t justify leaving Camp, because Starr is an amazing man himself; and I think his ideals and beliefs are good for Arrowhead.

I dont want to offend anybody so im not gonna say anything that is offending to anybody. I want to say that your right in saying that things are changing but, its not like were relocating to the yukon!! That being said, its gonna change but who knows could be for the better.

Guys your input on this is deep and I know about change and ussually it is good the point is Steve built the Arrowhead we know and love and He knows that Starr is just going to further its greatness. By passing the torch to Starr Steve shows his trust in Starr. And I for one am Behind Starr 100% and with Steve 100%. Steve knows that Starr is going to be a great Arrowhead owner and I just want to thank Steve for giving me and all of us the chance to enjoy the beauty and magnifisence of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I suppose change is inevitable, even if I go into camp this year half heartedly, I'm sure the power of Camp Arrowhead will instill in me trust in Starr.

Fast cars?!! Oh those cars!!

It is always a little nervous and strange when things we are used to change but let me just say that u guys are amazing, such old heads on young shoulders is amazing, u guide each other (and me) through things that life throws at you, whether it be that the boots have somehow won, again! or that things at camp will be a little different and with someone new at the helm. But u are always there for each other and that is amazing, and that is what is sooo special about the place we affectionately call Arrowhead.

Hey all.. Just wanted to say that I am very excited about Starr taking over Camp Arrowhead. I for one think he will do a fantastic job running the camp and as far as I can see the only changes will be new and exciting for all of us. It has been great working with Steve over these past four summers. Now that Starr has bought the camp I think it will grow like never before. Remember it was Starr who brought us the race cars; Lake Kiwiwi or however you spell it; home made bread and fantastic food. I am sure there are many great additions to come.
Hope everyone is doing well and had a great holiday. Kaya sends her best and the two of us are looking forward to seeing you ALL back next summer.
