Thank you Jim for the note on safety. I have another concern though, what about a variety of activities? I don't want my children to be bored during the day.

Although, I am not in fact Jim, I do beleave that I can be of at least some assistance in answering this question.
I doubt that anyone could everget bored at Camp Arrowhead. We have the whole medly of traditional in camp or on campus activities such as: archery, rifelry, crafts, basketball, soccer, swimming, horseback riding, and many others. We also have several less than traditional activities that are offered at virtually no other camp. These are lacrosse and blacksmithing, which is taught by an incredibly talented craftsman and instructor. In addition to these on campus activities there are several high adventure activities including kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, and horseback trail riding.
All of these activities are taught in an cummulative manner so that if your child is already profficient in an activity he can continue at his level. But, if your child has no prior knowledge or experience of an activity he can begin at the begining (for lack of a better word) with out the pressure of feeling like he needs to catch up. If your child has any desire to learn a new skill or get better at a skill that he already has a base in he will not get bored.
Informal activities are run during "free time." These activities are generally not skill based and can be enjoyed by anyone at camp. There is little instruction just supervision for these activities that include frisbee, the giant slip and slide, water hikes, and a whole arsenal of quick and easily understood games. At any one point doruing the day there are generally so many things going on that I would need more fingers just to count half of them.
