Below i have the honor - nay the privilage to recount the events of my most recent and spectacular expidition. (one that i am still recovering from).
It was mid december, and i had recently finnished my studies in college for the year. I had earlier made plans to travel home for the long awaited holidays, but it would take much time, effort, and expense to make the trip. I was lucky however, for on the way to my parents home, i pass the land of ARROWHEAD - dun dun dun, (have to add in the sound effects). I departed on the day of the lord, that would be a Sunday in lay terms, and began my travels. It was going to take me much time to reach my final destination, but i was determend to make it home, for i knew id miss out on many awsome Xmas presents if i didnt stay my course.
It took me many many moons to reach my first stopping point, id say at least 2 hours traveling around 80 mph ( i have a really fast horse, thanks chevy!) When i left my home, in Columbia, the weather was fair, a bit rainy, however the temp was around 40 or 50, that made for a nice december day, however when i approached the mountains on NC and the land of Arrowhead i could see that the tops were covered in snow or Ice, I hoped for snow, for it is exceedinly dangerous to travel in mountains of ice.
As i neared Arrowhead, i saw to my dismay that on the previous night an ice storm had infact hit the area, entire forests were solidifed as one massive piece of ice. As it was daytime, the sun was shinning down and melting the ice, this made it even worse, for random chunks would fall from the heavens and crash to the ground, much like cannon balls, just not round or black or um metal, but ya just like cannon balls. I pondered for a long moment weather i should skip my stop at Arrowhead or not, and then i realized that my horse was equiped with four legged drive, and so no matter what terrain i took her into, we would more than likly make it out. At the very last moment i yanked her halter towards the direction of camp, much to the protest of the horse in the lane next to me whom let out a great yell of disgust, as it swerved and halterd to avoid a collision. Up and up the mountain i rode, finally finding the old familar pass of cabin creek trail. It was Icy as ever, never before had i seen so much destruction from an ice storm, branches were strew about laying here and there, more often than not my truck, oh excuse me, my horse had to run over, oh i mean leap over them to pass. Up and up i continued, only stoppin once to try and sneak into the ellusive all female indian encampment near our border, i was caught however, much like usual, and asked to leave! Comming around the corner, i saw what i had been searching for! There is was, nearly covered as to hide it, THE ARROWHEAD SIGH, dun dun dun, (again to add dramatic effect).

-to be continued, as soon as i figure out how to post pics!

Hey guys, here it is installment #2 - of em not so sure yet! - so where were we, oh ya, here we go, THE ARROWHEAD SIGN.

I dismounted from my old horse, and stood there, for the first time i noticed that as i breathed i could see my breath, wow i thought, and then i rememberd that my horse had a heater, not an airconditioner but at least it had a heater! I stood there for a moment and stared down the road, hum, its wet, mainly cause the ice was starting to melt, and its cold, hum thus the reason there is ice around,

Should i try this, i pondered for a moment, haha why not, i have my sleeping bag, if all fails ill sleep in crazyhorse. Getting back on my horse i slowly tread down the road, ah tru, no worries i though as i went along, this is gonna be super easy, of course as i thought this, a massive chunk of ice falls smashing into the bed of my truck - oh wait, no slamming into the butt of my trusty stead, @#*$ im thinkin as i try to catch my breath, and my horse. That was not kewl, my horse agreed.

I got down to the bridge, looking around me down at the river and then my eyes hit the ski slope, wow this is gonna be FUN as a huge smile started to spread its way from one side of my face to another. I made my way up the hill, surprisingly with no worries, and WOW it was awsome, as i looked up over snaggy i was amazed, it was all covered in ice, the branches of the pines next to the soccer goal were all sagging down encumbered with the weight of the ice, they looked funny, in a cold kinda way. I kept driving, or i mean riding along, wondering if there was gonna be anyone around, also wondering what Ten Foot was up too, hoping that he hadent gotten frozen inside his cave, or whatever he lived in, i had no idea what i was in for as i began to leave snaggy and make my way to camp, i was soon to find out.

Riding down the road wasnt really that eventfull, it was slow going, with all the heavy rains the road had nearly washed out, and with the new ice, trees were down all over the road, good thing i had big tired, er a good jumpin horse, the only massive problems i ran into was when i had a branch, or an entire tree hanging down into the middle of the road. All i could do was ride straight through, wich was kinda kewl, deff cold, but kinda kewl. I kept on going though, not really sure why, just did, Soon i saw it, Springfield - it was easier to see in the winter months through the trees cause there were no leaves around, cept for on the ground. U wont believe what i saw at springfield, no there wernt any civil people or horse, there was something, well actually two somethings standing there. I almost missed them as i was riding by, there were on the far edge of the field over by the trees. Standing there, i saw two OOZALAS. If u look super hard, and super close, u can see them, there standing in around the center of the pic, right on the line where the grass hits the tree line. There are two of em, just really hard to see, i dont have zoom on my cam, man i wish i did.

I swear, i even have a pic of them, u can look for urself, u might need a magnifying glass, or a few, i couldnt get a good pic of them, but they were there, i was astonished, i couldnt believe that i was seeing them, it was insane, after speaking with a few experts and doing a lot of research, i have come to the conclusion that they were in the field to avoid the falling ice, which i might add, was getting annoying, after getting hit two or three times every few min. i would want to be in an open field too. As soon as they spotted me, i was instantly afraid that they were gonna approach me, but the didnt, the jetted off back into the woods. I was stunned, motionless, i even stalled my truck, oh i mean, um my horse was so stunned he passed out, um ya, i was litterally dumb struck, granted not much different that usual, but i couldnt hardly move. I sat there for a few min. then realized i should go, less they came back with civil war outfits on to attack in legions. That wouldnt be good. I traveled on, and started to make my way down the major big massive hill, hopping the entire way that i could make it back up, i wasnt to worried bout it till i hit the ice on the gound.

As i was sliding my way down the mudd of this hill, i came up to this patch of white, and i realized that it was all ice that had fallen from the canopy of branches over head, I didnt think much about it, but as soon as i went over it, i lost all controll, my horse started going each direction i told here not too, and soon i found myself hurderling down the hill towards a really really big TREE - thank gezz i hit a rock at the bottom of the hill, which allowed me to regain controll. the infamous words instantly hit my head, "OH MY GOD I ALMOST DIED", hew glad thats was over, my horse said the same thing.... um ya, so ok traveling on, i finaly made it, going around those three family sharp turns, i soon saw that awsome patch of grass, and then i was there, standing on the gravel looking around. It was so kewl, it was also so cold, or no i mean it was so empty, there wasnt a soul around. it was kewl, i got to walk around, and see the all familar camp, in a very unfamiliar way. Well guys thats my story, as i remember it, there are some pics of the adventures, set around and through the text. hope ya like em. Lata on guys. Hey everyone have a great Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

oh and for all ya'll wondering out there - ya the pimp car is doing just fine, gotta watch out for those famous things![img][/img]

NO WAY!! Photographic PROOF of Oozalas!!! Bradford, you might want to submit that photo to National Geographic! I have never heard of an Oozala staying around to let their photo be taken. It must have been pretty safe on the field Vs. the woods.

man, i know, wicked isnt it, ive talked to many experts on the subject, and have even had jimbo submit the pics to some people out on his side of the states, i can attest, the terrain was deadly man, that ice was heavy and it was constantly falling, that is the only reason that we can come up with the stange behavior of these oozalas, its widly know that they dont venture out of the shelter of the woods, but i guess they do under extream circumstances, and man it was deff extream out there.

Oh and this is post 600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Those Oozalas were there when I visited on thanksgiving! They must live near the field. Except when I passed by (thankfully in my well armored car) they were much closer and menacing looking. I revved my engine and warned them i would turn them into road-kill oozala stew and they fled across the field. (coulda used the hotmeal, it was COLD) We should send an oozala expert out there to mark the boundaries of thier territory so no poor buck unknowingly gets to close to thier burrow.

wow, what an amazing story. I have to say that I cant believe it gets cold at camp. i only remember that its always hot there , and the suns always shinning. I recon that the lake must not change temp's because thats the only thing that feels like its frozen cold....esp when it comes to pot hole. Maybe thats what makes everything turn to ice there. That magical lake that freezes up everything.
BUT I want to congratulate you mr, as being the first person to capture not one but 2 oozalas on camera. Maybe its time to set up a time delay camera to get some shots of them because just one picture of one would mean lots of money for us.
Also your the first person to get a plethora of pictures of camp here online. Congrats mate. Sill though where are all the kids in those pictures???? must have dissappeared along with the oozalas.
