If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitley watch the staff/family interviews reel from 2007. We love to get feedback from our campers and families, and here's what a few parents and campers said after the 2007 summer season:
"Everything about Arrowhead was perfect. Michael had a great time and is still talking about all the fun things that happened during all the great daily activities. He will be back next year with friends!" Alice Patlovich, Gainesville, FL
"We just can't say enough about the great summers our son has had at Arrowhead. Thank you for being such great role models and friends to our son. The gift of camp for him has been one of the best things we've ever done." The Fiddyments, Keswick, VA
"Our grandson struggles very hard in school. Camp offers freedom from his struggles. I credit camp with building his character, self-esteem and social development. He truly lives for camp every summer." Anonymous grandparent
"It's the most awesome place to just have fun and do what you've been dreaming of doing...I'd stay the whole summer if I could." Jack Borders, 13, Naples, FL
In 2006, one of our nine-year-old campers wrote the following in a school assignment (letter for letter!):
"I stayed for 5 weeks, and the camp was in North Carolina. There were 248 kids from all sorts of different states. There were more than 15 different activities. There were lots of crazy couselers. There was awsome food, and every Tuesday night we would do a thing called cabin night. That’s where we go to all sorts of different places to camp out, and my favorite place to go is Lake Keeowee not Kiwi, but Keeowee. The only thing about camp is that you have to be there to beleive what people tell you about it. The thing I like most about camp is the Final Marathan. This is where the Boots and the Chicks have a competition to see who gets the log. This may seem confusing, but like I said you have to be there to believe." Joe Durham, 9, Limestone, TN
In regard to our Children of Promise sessions: (see the video!)
"I have been working with inner-city kids for almost ten years now, and camping has been one of the best ways to impact their lives. We took 60 boys to Camp Arrowhead this summer (2005) and 40 of them committed their lives to Christ while we were there. There isn't any question for me: Camp changes lives, and Camp Arrowhead did just that for many of our kids." Danny Wuerffel Heisman Trophy winner, former NFL quarterback and director for Desire Street Ministries
"The week-long experience at Arrowhead has had a lasting impression on our kids. Each camper set goals that week to become better students and citizens, and I've seen a tremendous difference in many of their lives. It was a great experience." Wesley Arnold Henderson County Boys & Girls Club
"Thank you so very much for giving Michael the opportunity to enjoy Camp Arrowhead this year. It's been such a wonderful and positive experience for him and for our family." Melissa Sarmiento, Hendersonville, NC
