Jeremy Gillespie, (middle) Executive Director, joined the Arrowhead staff in 2004. A graduate of Winthrop University, Jeremy later completed a Masters of Theological Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. Jeremy values a quality camp experience because of the impact summer camping had on his own life. His experience includes serving as a counselor, instructor and program director at various camps in the southeast and working as an assistant director at Camp Hope & Camp Sertoma in Clemson, South Carolina.
Jeremy and his wife, Elizabeth, met at summer camp and share a passion to impact children's lives through camp. Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later earned a Masters of Education from the University of Saint Thomas. Elizabeth taught elementary and middle school in Texas and North Carolina for five years prior to their joining the Camp Arrowhead team. Jeremy works with many facets of the program including staff and camper recruitment, camp programming and staff training.
Jeff Killebrew, (left) Director of Development and Outreach, rejoined the Arrowhead staff in 2007 as the marketing, fundraising and urban/low-income outreach guy. Jeff spent a year at Arrowhead in 2005 developing the foundation for our first Children of Promise camp experience. He graduated from the University of Florida with a marketing degree and spent nearly nine years working for/with Desire Street Ministries in New Orleans, LA. Jeff leads the development of and fundraising for our inner city camping program and also leads our traditional camping programs in various facets.
Matt Rideout, (right) Associate Director, is a former summer staffer (aka Rideout) in the paddling program and is experienced in the camp setting. Matt’s education includes a B.S. in Agribusiness from Middle Tennessee State University. He has many years of experience in kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and backpacking. Matt worked as a wilderness instructor with MTSU’s Outdoor Pursuits, and conducted various trip leading courses for students at San Juan College and UNC-Ashville. He comes to Arrowhead with a passion for teaching, enthusiasm for the outdoors, and a desire to be a positive male role model for campers and staff.
